Having all of those devices connected will reduce the bandwidth available and can prevent you from connecting to the Discovery Plus network if a network conflict is apparent. I also found that Discovery Plus was slow during use. Your router is like a mini-PC and will slow down as more tasks are added. I’m sure that in today’s digital world, quite a few devices are connected to the router. Think of all the devices that are and have been connected to the router. Why does resetting your router reduce the Discovery Plus not working issues? This action will “power-cycle” your router and provide more bandwidth to increase your ability to play content faster on the Discovery Plus app. Restarting your Router almost always improves your bandwidth capacity to play content effectively. The easiest way to reset your router is to unplug it from the wall socket for 30 seconds before plugging it back in. This is one of the oldest tricks in the book, but it is effective in getting the Discovery Plus app to load. When I did this, it stopped some of the Discovery Plus buffering issues I encountered. Reducing apps running in the background allows Discovery Plus to perform better on your streaming device. When my streaming device restarts, it allows updates to install and clears the system cache and RAM. When I encounter Discovery Plus not working issues, I power cycle my streaming device by unplugging it for 60 seconds, waiting, and then plugging it back in.
